Effective 7 November 2026.
1. The service
image-to-gif.com provides a free, browser-based converter that turns still images into GIF files. The encoding runs on your device. The site does not provide storage, an account, a cloud render farm, or a guarantee that a conversion will complete on every device.
2. Your images and output
You keep whatever rights you have in the images you select and the GIF files you create. You are responsible for having the rights to use, modify, and redistribute those images. Do not use the converter for content you do not have permission to process.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site to:
- process or distribute unlawful material, including content that sexualizes minors;
- infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights;
- attack, overload, or attempt to disrupt the site or its hosting;
- misrepresent the output as originating from someone else when it does not.
4. No warranty
The converter is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. GIF is a lossy format for photographs and has hard limits: 256 colors per frame, 1-bit transparency, and no inter-frame prediction. The site does not warrant that the output will meet a particular platform's requirements, preserve a particular color, or be free of errors.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the site owner is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the converter or from any GIF you create. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
6. Changes and availability
The site may change, suspend, or remove features at any time. These terms may be updated; the effective date on this page will change when they are. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
7. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page or to hello@image-to-gif.com.
